Oliver ~ Habari Cat
Dale, Holly,
One word, "Amazing." The little Habari is doing very well. Absolutely beautiful creature. He came in and ate and ate and then ran around at top speed for an hour or two, then went to sleep next to Jessica.
He is now back up and cleaning himself calmly on the couch. He follows us everywhere
and meows frantically if he can't see us.
The Habari is a huge success. I appreciate greatly all of your kindness, hard work, and your ability to produce the BEST, most beautiful cats around. You can sure see the care you both have taken to do such a thing. This cat loves people and we love him. "Amazing."

Oliver at 4 Months

|
Thank you for Oliver. He's everything we hoped for and more. He's four months old now and is at
least 7.5 to 8 pounds. He was 5.7 pounds a month ago. Oliver has captured everyones
attention. His markings, size and personality are stealing the show. My parents call
and ask how Oliver is before they ask me how I am. Four months ago they didn't even
like cats. Oliver's personality and wit has astonished us. When he whines you can
almost hear him trying to speak words. He sounds like a young child trying to talk.
And like a child he gets into everything. He's figured out how to open the wine
rack and unroll the toilet paper so we have to keep toilet paper in the cabinet and
a close eye and ear out for the possiblity of broken wine bottles.

Oliver's cat friend is a male Abyssinian (Watson), who is two weeks older than Oliver. They get along great.
Oliver's litter box behavior is perfect. He's never failed to find the litter box when he needs to go. His coat is really starting to clear up and his spots/rossettes are darkening. He looks very wild but is just a cuddleling, purring cat with a big personality. I'm very glad and lucky to have a Habari. Thank you again for all you've done.

Oliver at 6 Months
Well, we don't know how big Oliver is going to get. I'm a little concerned, in a good way. He's huge!!
He's just over 6 months old (6 months and 1 week) and he's 15lbs. Yes 15lbs!!!
Wow!! How big is he going to be? He already looks very big to us and he's 3 times the size as
Watson who is 2 weeks older than Oliver. His 15lbs is not being concealed in a big round belly.
He's not stalky at all. He's very tall and long, very elegant and regal looking. He holds himself very proudly.
Let me tell you, he knows he's a big beautiful cat. He has an arrogant presence about him. It's hilarious!!
His jumping ability has also increased at an equal rate. He's able to jump up and grab stuff
6 feet in the air. Simply put he's just a cool as can be cat. He goes in bursts of speed and
catapulting himself around the house trying to catch Watson ( his Abyssinian friend), then just
lounges on the cocktail table or rug when gets tired panting like a dog. It's very funny. He's still
kitten clumbsy. He tries to lay down on the counter top and doesn't realize he's to close to the edge and
all you hear is a meow then a thud. At 15lbs he makes a big thud. He seems embarrassed afterwards.
We're very happy to have Oliver living with us. If you're considering getting a large breed hybrid cat,
do it! And definately get the cat from Dale and Holly here at Select Exotics.

Oliver at 13 Months
Oliver is 22.5 lbs, very long, and very tall. We have him on a raw only diet,
which eliminated his digestion problems. He's much happier and playful on the raw
diet. He sleeps with us every night. If you’re a little chilly in bed Oliver lies
along side of us and provides us with warmth like a heat blanket.
He's so tall that he stretches from my stomach to my ankles. He has
now figured out how to open all drawers and cabinets, so nothing is safe.
He'll actually go into the bathroom and open his drawer where we keep his
toys and grab a toy or two and play with them.
We're trying to get him to put back the toys when he's done, but he's not on
that program yet. We absolutely adore Oliver and grow more attached
to him every day. Everyone who sees him is amazed by his size and
presence. I don't know if he's done growing - he's only a year and
one month old. He's a very happy cat and surely believes he owns the place.
