Habaris - Watch Me Grow

Titan ~ Habari Cat ~ 3 Months

Dear Dale and Holly, What's the recipe for a Habari? Who cares!! Regardless of what goes into this "kitty cocktail", the results speak for themselves. JUST LOOK AT HIM!! Now, that's an exotic cat as if from a ZOO!! And, he's BIG...no, sorry about that..., HE'S HUGE! We're talking 6.5 lbs at 3 months, 1 week of age with feet like a kitty Clydesdale!! To us, "size does matter", and that his beauty be more than skin deep.

Titan has an amazingly complacent, tolerant and loving personality. Although he's not partial to being held extensively, he's never hissed, spit, bitten or scratched in a moment of discontentment. Quite incredible, when you consider the obvious extent of his wild lineage. He loves to ride in the car and go "visiting". He took to walking on a leash from day one. He's the mascot of one of our local pubs, where he patiently sits atop the bar, regardless of crowds and loud music. He fears nothing and greets everyone, even children, as a potential friend. This includes large dogs, who have from time to time crossed his path.

Titan also loves convenient stores and drive-up windows--through which he would gladly enter to meet new people. But, probably our favorite, and undoubtedly his, is an outing to Petsmart/PetCo. We call it "Kitty Disney World"!! It's seldom a quick stop, despite our best intentions. We've considered having flyers printed to answer the endless questions: "WHAT'S THAT"?; "WHERE DO YOU GET ONE"?; "HOW BIG WILL HE GET"?; "HOW MUCH DO THEY COST"?; and, the number one question, perplexingly,..."IS THAT A CAT"?? To which, we often respond..."No, it's a RHINOCEROS"!!

To us, the HABARI breed embodies the best characteristics that one should look for if they want a truly exotic cat as a pet, i.e. size, beauty, personality...What else could you ask for?? Well, maybe..."Is one available"? You'll have to check with Dale and Holly about that!

To those of you who are lucky enough to get one, you'll be constantly entertained and truly blessed with a special cat that will become more like a "best friend" than a pet. DOG BREEDERS BEWARE!!!

Thanks for the privilege of having Titan,
Laird and Paula
